Define the word QUEEN using 3 words. Unapologetic. Authenticity. Just.

What do you love most about yourself? I love most about myself my quiet strength, my openness to positive change, and my zeal for living a Christ centered life.

What motivates you to do your very best? The realization of how blessed I am, and how much God has invested into me motivates me to do my best in everything.

What do you believe is your purpose in life? I believe my purpose in life is to encourage young women to seek a life of Biblical womanhood, to encourage them to pursue the arts, and to celebrate their uniqueness.

Tell us about a time you failed, how did you overcome it? Wow, just 1?! lol.  I’ve failed several times!  One I can remember is attempting to live a life that wasn’t mine.  I had just gotten out of college and was SO confused as to what to do with my life, and took on this huge job that I just couldn’t commit to.  After quitting and struggling for quite some time, I learned to sit still and trust God, even when it’s uncomfortable.
How do you practice self-care? I practice self care by withdrawing from the noise!  I think so often we think of self care in terms of the physical–spa services, massages, vacations–but I’m the type of person who can enjoy all of these things and STILL have a brain full of worry.  I like to practice an unplug every few months to take care of myself mentally and spiritually.  That’s no social media, very limited interaction online, etc..  Just to get quiet with God, reassess all my motives, and just to recenter myself.
What does success look like for you? Success to me is living in private the same life I preach in public.  It’s knowing that everyday I at least attempted to be the person I want to be for the world.

If you could give your younger self a word of advice, what would it be? I would tell young Lex that those gifts you hide from the world, one day, God will use them in a super special way:-) ; that the people closest to you don’t have to understand all of your decisions;  and no you won’t always be that skinny!
